Christian County Health Department
Our responsibility is to listen to people who live in our community and look at data to diagnose health and identify issues and challenges that affect health for our whole community. We bring together everyone who has a role in community well-being to develop strategies, policies and programs that will create an environment where all of us can live our healthiest lives.
Our health department continues to offer COVID vaccinations. Please call us at 417-581-7285 to make an appointment. To find an alternate vaccination site near you, visit VaccineFinder.org.
You can give the gift of life by donating your blood or platelets. Contact the American Red Cross for details.
The CDC recommends everyone except small children wear a face mask when outside of your own home. Masks are proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and will protect our families and neighbors.
We work with community members and organizations at the local, state and national level to assure the strong foundation we all need to be healthy and thrive.
How can I protect myself from COVID-19?
Right now the best protection against COVID-19 is to get vaccinated. If you aren't vaccinated, stay home when possible, wear a mask when you must go out in public, wash your hands, avoid gathering in groups, and keep a distance of at least six feet from other people.
