Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / WIC Certifier
Starting Salary: $20/hour

Position Description
We currently have an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will also serve in the role of WIC Certifier for the Department. This position is responsible for providing professional public health nursing services for individuals, families, and service providers along with performing clerical duties to support the administration of the WIC program.
Basic duties will include:
Assessing health needs of the community, administering vaccinations, providing follow up on communicable diseases, providing client and community education, and offering referrals.
Collecting and entering data needed for the certification process in the Missouri WIC Information Network System (MOWINS).
Position Skills and Requirements
Current on all state LPN licensure requirements. CPR certified. WIC Certification (or willingness to obtain) required. Minimum of one year of community health experience preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive working knowledge of all LPN competencies including the ability to safely administer immunizations, conduct screenings, and present health and safety education to the community. Effective communication skills; ability to work well with a variety of people; ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment; strong attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task. Some travel is required.
